I agree, I think AI being used in that context is totally fine and something they would’ve done in 1995 if they could’ve.

The media headlines about it are extremely obnoxious though. It’s made clear that AI in no way is being used to recreate John or his work, but the headlines are being written as clickbait to outrage boomers that hate any new technology and wish it was still the 60’s.
