admittedly i am not the most familiar with bowie’s discog, i used 2 download artists entire discographies back in the day & throw them on my ipod & listen 2 songs here & there

My next Prince album is Batman I just got derailed bc I discovered Bowie and bc Lovesexy was one long track when I originally was going through Prince’s albums so it was kinda’ve a slog to me

for some reason i get the feeling that a lot of internet music nerds neglect artists entire discographies for some reason. like theyll listen to a few of the main classic albums, enjoy them and just never check out anything beyond that

but tbf for some of the huge discographies I only do the entire thing once im already a big fan. even then im still slacking on a few of my favorites with massive ones like Prince and Frank Zappa

I prefer to do it for artists that go through significant artistic growth or have really iconic eras. It’s cool seeing how they end up there from where they started, hearing the evolution is tight

But if a band makes pretty much the same music through and through I don’t really feel that need

yeah facts, hearing the decent albums in addition to all the best ones usually makes me appreciate them all more
