I think my problem is that not only does Pinkerton not have the things that usually make Weezer good (I dislike putting artists in a box) it replaced them with much worse things

Catchy well written songs are replaced by messy loud angst fests, the lovable quirky nature is replaced by creepy s***obsessed weirdo lyrics, the noise can sound okay but most of the time sounds noisey just for the sake of making noise

Its loud, hard to listen to, and pretty creepy

He’s such a good writer. Very underrated in that aspect.

HOWEVER, I’d never argue against someone being turned off by it all
