how we feeling about the janelle monae album

didn't want to post about it in here but its a 7/10 for me, love her music always but she's trying to do something for radio and streams, which is cool

the last songs on the tracklist are great, but i'll always be expecting an archandroid / electric lady album

still think it's good though

put it on about 20 mins ago.. and yeah idk, she's an amazing artist and there's some good stuff mixed in here but overall? i expected much more from janelle.

also, these songs don't even feel fleshed out and are criminally short.. the hell is up with that?

Some of the songs sound like TEL, towards the end, just more reggae inspired, but they already have their expectations, I can't blame them

She wants to have her Beauty Behind The Madness / Starboy moment, and star in movies, but I don't know if she has the fanbase for that

she has an impressive filmography so far.. maybe she will end up directing a film and even do the soundtrack, as eclectic as she is she would do fantastic
