I don't think overzealous stans have enough power to make me dislike their fav's music. I'll enjoy it silently but the non-stop d*** riding and dismissal of everyone else does taint a little of the experience. Good music will overshadow all of this, if it's truly undeniable.

The majority of Kendrick stans I’ve seen don’t measure the quality of the art based off first week sales. Some of them did do it for Honesty, Nevermind, but that was mainly out of spite for the Drake stans putting in overtime to say Kendrick flopped. They deserved it. Honestly, Nevermind was a pretty good album despite the sales.

This is decent but I wasn't a How to Dress Well fan until The Anteroom. It was so good that I had to download it and erase whatever ill feelings I had against him for years. This is why I stopped reading about artists before I listened to their music because going in with preconceived notions or negative bias stripped me of positive music experiences.
