we’re here if u need 2 talk, im lowkey feeling the same as u so i completely understand
are you familiar w chicago by any chance
the city? Yes, I even touched the shiny bean.
no!! Just now discovering his stuff, where can I find that?
oh honestly i wouldnt start diving into it until youve already heard his main stuff tons of times. its kind of unwieldy to get into, there is a lot of stuff scattered across the first few posthumously released albums and then some potential tracks for it more released elsewhere later. album w as probably like 70% finished but ofc its hard to say. this configuration is okay but i definitely would have changed a few things: albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.com/2012/06/jimi-hendrix-first-rays-of-new-rising.html . this officially released one is also pretty good but there were a few issues iirc en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Rays_of_the_New_Rising_Sun
and you heard Band of Gypsys yet? part of core canon
and dont miss out on this non album b-side that came out in 1967:

the band chicago who also happen to be in the same city
seems fitting i’d bring them up bc you starting to fw hendrix plus you being into jazz n s***
i use this pic for Hendrix 4th unreleased album, same artist as B****es Brew and Abraxas covers. dont think it was finished though

They peaked early but their debut album is essential.

all you really need is the albums w terry kath in em. they don’t exist to me after that.
jimi said he was better at guitar than him, which is arguable. but i think he’s as good.

i think that might be a fake quote ngl or at least just hearsay. people repeat same thing about hendrix saying that about billy gibbons and others too which is bs quote
terry kath death also gotta be one of the worst ways to die ever
