Well, the basics and how you’re able to hear if something’s in A major, C minor, etc.

It's just the intervals between the notes/chords there really isn't a method to hearing things by ear and working them out you just get used to the sounds and intevals made up of music

the first chord in that loop was f# minor which is the same key as A major so i just assumed it was A major
