A lot of the opinions I see in the music section feel like they’re moreso trying fish for likes and validation then actually make a genuine statement
The music section on this forum seems like it's mainly used for meta discussion and trolling rather than actual discussions around music? Personally outside of this thread I hardly even use this part of the website. Life section is the go to.

But it has lost some of the culture of like being a nerdy hip hop forum to be internet nerd fans because people are ashamed of it and want to pretend they aren't

Yeah there are some pretty bad topics that people are trolling with in that part too. The current event topics are nice though, same goes for the advice ones as well. Personal favorite is the discussion of American society. That's always an interesting one.
