Most definitely, its kinda whats wrong with this generation of artist, crazy to say. Too many artists who are too "normal" probably not the best way to put it lol

Chill lol,I think a better way to put it is that we have less creativity in music cause of the accesibility factor nowadays. I think back then, you had to wanna know about music and want to create vs now, where theres template for everything. Creativity has taken a back seat to raw, unrefined talent, and alot of people have some talent.
Alot of people don't have the mind to create tho,and its rare when someone have both talent and a mind to create.

it’s definitely an accessibility thing. record labels were picky gatekeepers that developed the talents of their roster. Now anyone has the potential to go viral on tiktok.

The other thing is, it’s really easy to just sustain a following these days off popping off once. You really just need one hit or one little era when you’re on and you can eat for the rest of your life.
I mean, even the people we make fun of here for falling off crazy like 6ix9ine or Lil Pump are still making insane amounts of money off social media and s*** and really never have to try to do anything creative with music.
I still don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing though.
“bad” or amateurish music is just more accessible nowadays

There is something to say for the fact that internet music nerds like us are still basically talking about the same bands and artists we have been for two decades
I mean on the app though , not on tv
Yea

Yeah but I feel like if ktt2 existed in the 70’s we’d be talking about Elvis or Little Richard half the time too.
