Hopefully he doesn't wait until he's 40 to drop his next album but would love to hear him on a project that is not so feature heavy
i donāt think heāll wait that long he said he was working on Dicaprio 3 and itās gonna be a Gangsta Grillz like the 2nd one

Are those Drama joints considered his albums or mixtapes?
why are people talking about his age and not the music?

can you elaborate
don't think it's a perfect album by any means and there's some criticisms and songs i don't like but overall i think the album feel way more refined and mature than his past work

He's at the point in his career where he's gotta start making songs that are good on their own merit, not this formula where he's balancing making trap-with-the-alien-flow mixed with boring obligatory boom bap songs. When I first heard never I thought we'd get a GKMC level album out of JID. I know nothing about JID after 3 albums, there's nothing interesting about him and at this point, that monotonous triplet flow/same boom bap flow he uses on every song reveals a lack of direction more than it displays his talents. Bruddanem gave us a small glimpse of what it could look like if he widened his scope as far as mic presence is concerned. He's tryna be a capital-A artist without honing the ability of giving songs a life of their own. "Woahh, interesting splice loop! Lets put a Kenny beats 808 on it and have jid go offfff on it!" Best song was Money even though that refrain was dead on arrival.
Even when he sings on Kody Blu 31, which is maybe top 5 on the album, he's not even saying s***.
Now I'll concede a bit of partiality tho bc I reeeeeally hate these boom bap beats where the whole track is sidechained to death, but this is the type of album people will rate a 7.5/10 because they're too insecure to call it what it is, a Born Sinner-tier 4.0.
Don't get me started on the stupid beat switches for no reason (ruined his best song with that bullshit how has he not learned).
All becomes obvious when Yasiin and Wayne wash the whole album.
His music is pushing hip hop forward to people who "see the potential" in NFTs
