This will actually be their 3rd interview together. Their first interview took place not too long after the start of the pandemic (April 2020 iirc), but Fantano’s dumbass didn’t archive said interview so it may be lost to time forever..
You know who really deserves a JB interview though? @YoungNastyShawty (!)

you jerk off for money on the internet your opinion on music is worth the same as a yugoslavian dinar
his best work since the colour in anything. love the fact he could have played it safe and made another album in the same kind of ilk as his last two but he didn’t. he decided to spin it back to 08-11 james blake but it didn’t feel derivative or chasing his old sound for nostalgia. feels organic and it’s just incredible top 3 album easily this year for me
Can’t stop listening to this
amazing project. JB had flashes of returning to this sound over the past 2 albums, but this is exactly what was needed for the upcoming fall/winter.
Don’t be bitter for no reason now
it’s not for no reason and still travis scott stan

Feels like his career has been progressing very naturally and organically. Each album feels like exactly the album he should be releasing at the time of its’ release

yeah like the last two are very lovey dovey incl some of the singles he put out like you’re too precious. now you’ve got a lot of nice club tracks which showcases how special he is. you cant ever pin down his sound or where he’s gonna go next

Love artists that follow their creative impulses above all. He even said himself he was inspired by these sounds making Before EP and that led to this
Such a refreshing project - v12 was exactly right, it’s not chasing nostalgia while still capturing what was so exciting about his early work. You can tell he’s getting a great feedback loop from his CMYK nights. I saw him kill it with the same set he’s been rocking the last ast few years earlier this summer, and
I’ve got tickets for this tour now in the fall. Hearing songs like Tell Me and I Want You To Know live are going to be an experience
You did it again, James
