Yo I was not expecting If You Can Hear Me
James Blake Litherland you son of a...
then the title track is such a fitting outro. This is great work man
Of course Chad Hugo and Pharrell are on I Want You To Know because why would they not be on it right ?

its cause he sampled a song they produced. not trying to discredit but just saying in case you were confused like me as if they collabed in production
Yea this will prob be my new aoty after some more listens. Immaculate mix of early blake and assume form style. not a bad song at all on this
This s*** is garbage. Wish he would go back to his soulful sound.
what era are you even referring to?
Overgrown
The Colour in Anything
what do you think that Assume Form and Friends were?

Oh wow I didn't even know thanks for the info
what do you think that Assume Form and Friends were?
thats why I was so confused I think you can even use that term loosely for his early work lol
unluck and I never learnt to share come to mind

I feel like this is the closest thing hes ever done to those two. If youre not into I get it, might just be a fan of those two projects instead of him as a whole. I get it tho I see that take a lot on the internet ever since he pivoted a bit
I don't like a lot of this. Comparing it to his earlier stuff seems kind of lazy, this is much more haphazard and all over the place. I'm sure that's the intention but it really isn't catching me.
That said, I Want You To Know and Fire The Editor are my favorite JB songs in years so that's cool.

It's just interpolation of Beautiful so they get credits
Intro and first batch of songs were captivating me
i'm a lil more meh on the middle section of the album but ima keep this on loop today so that might change
but damn that moody intro was perfect
I would say this a album is 75% a polished version of his electronic roots and 25% his "Friend's that break your heart" sound
i'm happy for y'all that wanted back to basics album, but i'm more of that Assume Form/Friends/Colour JB type
still this album is an amazing piece of work and so the sound fits the name so f***ing well
that outro is so eeeriee how does he do that?

fire the editor is amazing, I'm going on to my second listen and I can't wait to get to that song
also, how is this like Colours? I feel like that album didn't have too much electronic unlike this one.

he's been wonderful/big hammer was the weak point of my first listen too but everything else really kept me intrigued
I think this album really comes together in the second half but it’s still overall really good
