damn str8.
niggas being negative nancies when it's all about consistency. If your overall eating pattern has changed (which clearly it has), a "bad weekend" (that don't really exist, you probably unknowingly still eating less than you used to on 'those' days) aint gonna destroy all that progress lol.

WSOTD:

first time I've ever had one song on repeat the entire time
also thank god my left shoulder's healed from that annoying ass strain.
Might need to get back on this wave. I worked out in 2018 and 2019 and stopped once the pandemic started. The gym closed and I cancelled my gym membership and I never went back. Additionally, I got sick pretty bad this spring and lost like 25 pounds in a month
Gotta get back on the wave again.
My idea was to get back my cardio back up, then do bodyweight stuff and the dumbells I have at home, and then join a gym closer to me. Anybody been in a similar spot before? Also I gotta focus on gaining weight again

i went from 6’4 215 in 2018 to 160 by 2021 because of similar factors and i just hit 205 again. i started working out again in july 2021 and only hit real consistency this spring…that’s all to say ik what you’re going through loob
when you’re coming back from a long break getting that endurance up is key for sure, so maybe start off with the dumbbells and cardio for a few weeks but i never really get noticeable results when im not at a real gym. everyone different though so up to you
i also dirtybulked HARD to get back to where i want to be so i recommend lots of mcdonalds and taco bell yup yup two mcdoubles and a basket of fries is an unbeatable combo for the price
also long workouts are good for catching up quickly; i never gain progress with shorter workouts and don’t have the patience to see that through. i always do much better catching up with a few 90–150 minute sessions a week
Was doing a pyramid set of bench today and threw 245 on there for fun and hit it four times
yall have any tips for cutting your body fat. I'm on 1500 calories a day (keeping as clean as i can) keeping up mild yet long cardio, and weights but i'm not seeing results as quickly as i want to.
I recently lost 150 lbs 310 - 160, but now i'm trying to put muscle on and this s*** is f***ing me up.

up the protein and cut as much sugar as you can I guess.
But holy s*** you lost that much! You’re a beast.
I guess it depends on what your maintenance calories are but 1500 should be pretty solid for cutting down more.
Did you do a lot of weightlifting? Usually for bulking it’s 300 more than your maintenance calories or so

thanks man i really appreciate that!
maintenance for me is around 2700 (according to calorie calculator) so am i just cutting too much?
Is recomping not really a thing, and i should just go on a more consistent schedule of bulking/cutting?

i think i need to finally join a gym tbh i feel like my lack of weights/machines are really holding me back

A little too much. I think you should up it by 300 or 400 or so. So like 1800 or 1900
Doing like 3-3.5 pound a week loss every week might make you lose some muscle so this bumps it down to about 2 pounds a week which is supposed to be acceptable by docs

Weights will help you a lot. Mostly free weights and machines/cables for the stuff you can’t work yet
You’ll get some noobie gains within the first month that will probably make you feel pretty comfortable when looking at the mirror.

RDL went from 265x3 with piss poor form and reps to 265x6 with great forme and DEEP range of motion
OHP 135x2 to 135x4 as of last week's pr
Bench is by far the worse lift at 185x3 I remember being able to do 205 x 2/3 before I went inactive
