    back to resistance bands workouts for me. 1 month lock down. Ugh this is so s***, I been killing it in the gym recently.

    Smh that sucks. Hope you can keep it steady until then. 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾

    yo ive been overweight my whole life. I lost like 20 kg the last 5 months, and now im still kinda fat but i have zero muscle dawg.

    So the last month I have been eating good and a lot of protein but still staying at a 400 calorie deficit. (by walking)I also lift weights, and im honestly really motivated to do this. But i can’t figure out if its actually possible to gain muscle this way and still lose some fat, or if im actually doing it the wrong way.

    I was in a similar boat and lost 35kg but managed to get more toned. Did a lot of HIIT and basic machine weights where I switched reps every two days from a strength (low rep/high weight) to endurance (high reps/low weight) and I’ve come out looking better but admittedly not as strong as I haven’t been able to do any barbell stuff which sucks.

    TLDR: HIIT + mix of high reps/low weight and low reps/high weight helped build muscle for me. But my strength is nowhere near where it was before.

    Well there have not been much s*** to do in the last 6 months so when the gym opened again late june i started going 2 hours a day (cardio) and then in august school started again and instead of taking the bus like i used to do i decided to walk the one hour to school and the one hour back home each day. So i was burning like 500 cals just from that + doing cardio at the gym 5/6 times a week. I still dont have a bus card but its starting to rain a lot so i may get one soon. Anyways, that way i was still able to eat a good amount off food and still lose weight.

    It’s absolutely possible, especially since you’re new to lifting. I would probably say you should incorporate body weight workouts as well. Great way to build muscle and lose body fat. Keep lifting consistently too. Progressive overload. Increase the weight or the reps as you get stronger. You’ll see changes in your body just be consistent. Workout hard 5 times a week. 90% of your diet should be quality food. We all know what that is. You can get away with 1-2 cheat meals a week but don’t go overboard. Also remember cheat meal >>> cheat day

    i mean im just lifting like most people do. I train arms, legs, breast, shoulders and whatever your supposed to train.

    Like monday arms, tuesday breast, then next training day i train my back, and then shoulders.

    And i eat like 2000-2000 cal a day.

    Then i walk 2 hours a day, to school and home which makes me lose like 400 - 500 cal a day.

    I be eating a lot of meat tho, like A LOT. i eat like 130-150 grams of protein a day, not sure if thats too much?

    Even if its too much protein i cant see how it would be a bad thing tbh

    Any weight loss tips? I'm 190, 6'0. I use 2 b around 150 145. But my meds hav weight gain side Fx( bi-polar, not gonna hurt myself. Saying tht just incase u wanna recomm. Sum xtreme) Im tryna get bak to150 by December. Lmk sum. Cus ik nothin lol.

    & I use 2 b able 2 lose weight whenever I wanted, np. but now nope. Guessin its tha meds.

    Recently started running in tha AM yesterday. Gonna do it everyday all month. Tips 4 distance is cool 2

    figure out what your maintenance calories are. eat at a caloric deficit.

    Apparently they have ones that don't cause weight gain or something?

    Maybe try different fasting methods like intermittent and see if it makes a difference. You'd have to monitor over weeks if you wanna conclude what is/isn't working and not be checking every day. Low carb diet maybe. Try fasted cardio if you haven't already. And I'd assume you already know to track calories

    Going running without eating for something like >5 hours (i think?). Best done in the morning like you're doing. Wake up, go for a run then soon as you get back have something high carb and protein.

    Idk whether long distance running is anymore/less effective than intense running/HIIT, might be worth reading up on

    covid f***ed up my routine in April and haven’t been able to get back in it properly since, doesn’t help that my drinking problem got worse.
