Honestly lifting more than 4 times a week is probably overdoing it. I’ve said it several times itt and I’ll say it again.
I lift 4 days and then I’ll do some sled work one day.
If you’re doing more than 20 sets a week per body part you’re seeing diminishing returns past 20, and at that point you’re more likely to burn out or injure yourself, and when that happens the amount of time you miss while off the wagon is going to be more detrimental than that 25th set is beneficial.
You especially need to learn to adjust and listen to your body as you grow older.
soon as your plan ends do you just create another or restart the same one?
Depends how you’re progressing towards your goals. I plan my workouts in 4 week cycles and at the end I either restart it or make modifications. For example if I’m going to cut harder on calories I may reduce the volume on the next 4 weeks.
ive been doing a couple sets of lifting my refrigerator before i go to bed
doing wonders to me

Yeah I’m with you. I don’t schedule my Deload weeks but every few weeks I can just feel my body getting drained and I’ll just take a couple days off. Whatever you gotta do to keep on the path

Having one of those this week
Also because i lowkey want to try some different sports bc ive been a gymrat for 5,6 years straight with zero real breaks (max 2 weeks off).
Im trying to convince myself that its okay to take time off because i cant combine another sport with my current schedule.
I f***ing love the gym tho
Felt like ass all day
Tired as f***
Planned on just skipping gym today
But then I said f*** it drank 200 mg of caffeine and tossed weights around for 2 hours
I had good gym habits in the past but never felt the love for working out like others have said until now
Something clicked this summer and I genuinely love the gym now
"yo, you lost weight? you looking good dawg"
thanks bro, stress walking, depression, and gym will do that
