like, whats with the amnesia? US intervention is havoc to these countries. just one example, they completely flattened the DPRK during the korean war, like 90% of their buildings were completely destroyed. idk if you know, but the taliban that the U.S. was f***ing fighting was financed and created by the US meddling there 40 years ago ..furthermore, the u.s. doesn't invade because of human rights - this is such a liberalized, construed view of the world. it invades for resources and geopolitical control.

Yeah one look at our border crisis should tell the world that if you're a migrant looking for help/safety, America is not the place to come to. Personally I think we should try and help them, but that'd require infrastructure and a political will that this country really does not have.

The U.S. bank has already been broken. We've been running historical deficits because of the warfare state for nearly 20 years now lmao. It's financially impossible for us to sustain this and its also morally impossible for us to sustain this. Im sorry but there's literally no justification for a 20 year war against a bunch of homeless soldiers in the mountains

you're ignoring the 10,000+ afghans being killed every year in a perpetual war with no sign of stopping with 90% of drone strike casualties being civilians
They will be worse off under the Taliban. Not to mention the mentality behind the drone strikes is the same one behind the reasoning of wanting to pull out (save money and American lives).

What can you do? We were there for 20 yrs and after all that all it took was us leaving and they came right back. So, the only option if you don't want them in charge is basically having a presence there indefinitely.
