Insiders are saying that Merkel discussed with the president of Afghanistan how she would look like if she would tell German people that 20 years have been for nothing but the president promised that they would stop the Taliban.
Nah I really don't tbh I just know we withdrew months ago and now the Taliban have taken over again
It was inevitable anyway but the way Biden handled it is disastrous - from the beginning until now. Absolutely nothing is managed out well.
His speech was literally as worse as every speech from Trump. He did not only fail the Afghan people, he also failed the Americans and every other person from other countries like Germany for his disrespectful speech. You can tell he isn't 0% confident about his decision. He immediately went out after his last sentence.
It's on his hands that the Taliban won that fast.
wym
usually you can tell if someone is red or blue bc they're all on the same page, this is one where people are split whether to stay there or withdraw. it's not so one sided.

ah yup i agree
is there any solution that doesn’t involve sending more troops in rn
nah just let the afghan people decide their own faith no matter how cruel it would be any further intervention would be terrible and a mess like it already has been

The world isnt the US playground
If the afghans want that taliban stuff it's their fault

If there's gonna be a solution, it's gonna have to come from Afghanistan within

Most of them don't want it, they are just too poor to fight against the Taliban
Also don't forget most of them don't have the education outside of Kabul. It's very complicated and deep tho

Nope. The people there don't wanna fight. Middle East is f***ed long-term no chance at changing that without warmongering

Poverty has nothing to do with it
Vietnam defeated the USA
It has to do with fighting spirit
But nobody was willing to die to save a corrupt US backed government
So they said why risk my life right now
PRESIDENTIAL COPE
