I think if you're going to say worst or best case scenario it really depends what view you're coming from. If you were a fan of Obama-era democrat politics (or even like maybe late 2000s republicanism), then these are honestly not very bad picks, in fact they are quite representative of a return back to that; they very much resemble a mix of what you may find in a theoretical mixed cabinet between Obama & Romney or Obama & McCain.
To me, as someone who really dislikes thinktank-esque, corporate, and washington "veteran" (as in been in constant administrative rotation, not as in military) backgrounds, I can't say I'm exactly thrilled. It could definitely be worse I suppose of course but I very much dislike the type of policies which have been advocated by some of his picks in the past.
