Can someone please help me understand what uniswap is?
I'm mostly just tryna buy altcoins that I hear about and it seems like Uni offers all of them. Mainly I've been using CB which is much more limited. So does Uniswap work as an add-on to CB, in a sense? Would I still primarily be using CB, and only use Uniswap when I want to buy something more obscure? How do I get the altcoins into a wallet address after swapping? Or does Uni offer an on-site wallet? Will I be able to cash in on the altcoins using Uniswap when the time comes, or must I find another service that will take them? Because from what I see, Uni doesn't technically support something like SHIB but they allow you to swap for it anyway?

create a metamask wallet metamask.io
send eth from cb to your metamask, metamask will link with uni and you will be able to swap anything in that on uni
another plus of this is that you now own your crypto rather than cb owning it, although it isnt as secure as a hardware wallet

You can cash into a stablecoin then send it to the exchange of your choice.
Essentially because of web3, you can connect your wallet directly to an application like uniswap, instead of having to copypaste your address in when making a transaction.
