It was expected tbh, this was basically market manipulation by millions.

The fact that the short sellers will have to buy the stock back at higher prices makes this stock more valuable than it should be. The value isn’t in the company, it’s in the fact that the stock will be worth more than it is now. The reason this is possible is because of the short sellers, but that’s not considered market manipulation. It’s only manipulation when the hedge funds bets don’t pay off
