What do you mean a stake?

At the moment ETH is using whats called proof of work, meaning that in order to get new ETH you have to mine it. ETH 2.0 will be shifting towards proof of stake, which means that if you have 32 ETH, you will be able to get rewards for staking it. The reward is predicted to be somewhere between 4.6% to 10.3% annually. You will also be able to stake even if you don't have 32 ETH but you would be sharing rewards and run a higher risk. There are videos out there that explain it better.
