Well don't I need to go through some kinda process to set up a wallet on there? Should I even be using their built-in wallet? I've never really bought crypto besides for darkweb purchases and on Robinhood.

I already sent in the docs to verify my identity but once it's verified am I just able to buy it and direct it towards a specific wallet address?

You can download Metamask if you don't want to continue to hold on exchanges and if you want to get involved in Ethereum since link is an ERC-20 ETH token

Then you can create a wallet and send your LINK to your wallet

You can also buy a hardware wallet instead if you want to store your LINK that way

Most newbs should just keep tokens on an exchange with 2 factor authentication and leave it as is until you figure out what you're looking to do

Best advice is to try out the big ones and see how they really work to gain a full understanding of what's going on
