Only the large-scale, sophisticated attacks orchestrated by a nation state drive share prices higher. Those are few and far between.

Sometimes, they themselves are the victims of a hack. Look at SolarWinds. It was humiliating.

Road to 1k

I don't think that's a solid indication that security stocks won't surmount to any sort of success in the future.

I think the sector is actually still in it's infancy with alot of room to go. IoT is only just beginning to become ubiquitous and as more of these large scale hacks happen, people only look to buy more and more security software. I could be wrong but it's a sound bet I'm willing to take as the world becomes more digitized

And yes even security companies can be hacked too, there is always a vulnerability in any system
