as beginner positions sure. i really discourage people from buying alts before they accumulate even 1 BTC or 50 ETH. same way i discourage people from buying penny stocks or options trading before buying a share of GOOG or AMZN.

there's a common belief that small caps go up faster than large caps... this is mostly false HOWEVER there's too much value being created in this whole industry not to invest in other projects.

until we cross BTC's all time highs again there is still time to accumulate most alts sans chainlink

also imo exchange tokens have very high upside

then there's industry specific stories like logistics/fraud prevention that will gain traction as the media will shill once again

but you're right in that you should be trading most alts to accumulate more BTC or ETH on their respective pairs

LINK is unique in that its a protocol layer so it covers a lot of use cases

it really comes down to a time allocation thing and it's something every investor has to face
