oh got you. what you think of doordash

Much worse. I have little faith in their profitability long term as the sector and business model is way too high in expenses. This pandemic boost in revenue and deals that barely made them profitable was their gateway to looking much more lucrative than they really are for investors. With Airbnb the opposite can be said, they will benefit greatly AFTER the pandemic and their business model is solid given the company themselves does not suffer much expenses(compared to competition). Only thing I don’t like about Airbnb is the current valuation and stock price but I for sure see a big future in them unlike Doordash.

Thoughts on an RKT buy rn?

Look into GHIV. It’s a Special purpose acquisition holding merging with United Wholesale Mortgages. UWM is the second largest mortgage wholesaler(second to RKT) and they will pay a 4% dividend when they start trading. Proven company in a proven sector and the SPAC is still really cheap. Great long term hold if you like the mortgage sector, but I’ll warn you it’s a bumpy sector given the cyclical nature and once the interest rates are raised we could see a dirty few years.

half and half. Been meaning to invest in more areas of the market, but I got a little greedy in the tech hype

Yea tech prices are scary rn. Unless you’re hedged to the t*** I’d stay away from being heavy in tech rn.

Maybe with the exception of growth giants like Amzn

Rn I think the best reward/risk ratios are in the most financially healthy companies in the most hit sectors from the rona.

Many REITs and service companies are still down 20-40+ % on the year and the ones with the most cash on hand and asset to debt ratios imo are still on a massive fire sale given you’re looking to hold for 6-20+ months.

Short term money/trading I love SPACS. If the management team is great and you get in close to around the NAV floor you’re bound to make a decent return once they release an acquisition. Minimal risk with god knows how much upside(look at the peaks of $QS, $LAZR, $HYLN).

Cool man. Do you have any recs for a relatively short term investment that I could expect to see a decent increase in?

Read up on SPACS if you’re looking for short term gains. GHIV from its current price should bring 20-30% gains minimum in the next month imo. The best strategy for SPACs is to get them around NAV(which in simple terms is a price you can redeem your shares at if you choose to). This limits your downside risk substantially. SPACs I’m in near NAV are $HZON, $FUSE, $GHIV, $IPOF.
