Priced in bitcoin it peaked in 2017 and had been loosing value consistency since. By its own creators values has failed. Gas fees are tens of thousands times more than they should be. It is a development platform not a store of value. It is also consistently becoming more centralised in both governance and Implimentation. It has potential room to evolve but will one day have to compete with bitcoin itself, as bitcoins second layer develops further.
