Also a lot of the ecosystems/altcoin communities have locked in alot of the speculative money and the no one is taking profits back into btc like back in the day when there was only alt/btc pairs
normies and unit price bias aswell esp with a lot of the selections available todayyeah exactly
even when something does have a pair a lot of people take profits in whatever the native currency on that chain is or just in stablecoins
it's definitely all still linked but it's not so clean and simple anymore
a lot of alts might not even out perform BTC over the next month or two but some easily will, things are evolving
