if you think about it metamask is just another browser extension

if this stuff continues to take over there is a huge market to create browser exploits, not to mention keyloggers etc. if you are torrenting or pirating games/software you have to be 100x even more careful as you could already have dormant malware on your system waiting

if you have an old phone you can also factory reset it and download a mobile wallet like Trust/metamask to it. then get your seed phrase from there. then disconnect it from wifi forever unless you need to move funds or whatever

that is essentially the same thing as a hardware wallet

for further protection after you get your seed phrase you could delete the app and reset your phone again and keep that piece of paper very safe as that would be the only way to recover your wallet

Yeah I’m kinda weary since atm I got it all on my brave wallet and I think I remember seeing someone complain about it crashing and losing everything (would think they’d be able to recover it using the words though)

Yeah you can recover your brave wallet as long as you save your seed phrase or the wallet file they let you download

have done that a few times in the past when i had to fresh install

i'd stay away from relying on them though, i'd probably even prefer a centralized exchange like binance or coinbase as i'm not familiar with how safe their seed generation algo is etc but any ledger/trezor wallet will support the ERC-20s you have

Just be happy you bought any at all. Continue doing what you are as long as you are ok with your risk. It is natural to feel FOMO but this has been the best returns in years. Crypto is at 3 YEAR HIGHS so be careful. Buy when we have a big drop.. it will come.

By DCAing I'd hope you are also getting more comfortable with the swings and even the structure and flow of the entire market. This gives you an edge to dip your toes.

You're young and I'd say you are more than able to take a few shots, just be careful and continue to practice the same discipline you have been. If you feel like FOMOing I'd look into alt coins while continuing to add to your BTC / ETH positions as usual
