You're 1-2 years behind and multiple teams doing this. Ok whatever do as you please ignore Peter Thiel's advice

I’m still confused, What does that mean? Because none of what you’re saying doesn’t mean anything. Now if you said you don’t have the technical bandwidth to execute it, cool. But what you’re saying is pretty irrelevant. eBay had like a 20 year head start on GOAT and StockX, both became viable businesses. I like Thiel

You're YEARS behind on the fastest moving tech space that is compounding every day you're not involved. Not just with the technical details involved with smart contracts, the entire defi industry, the crypto community and its network effects, etc. You are competing against multiple well funded teams all tackling the same problem. Not to mention the protocols that will simply include this "feature" into their already built loan platforms. Especially AAVE

This isn't anything like the market dynamics of eBay

Severely underestimating what it takes to "make it" in this space in any serious way

    amazon.com/Zero-One-Notes-Startups-Future/dp/0804139296

Also red ocean vs blue ocean as a concept

If you had posted 6-12 months ago regarding this i'd be more open as there was still some product-market fit being explored, but you're late af now.

yeah.. you're better off trying to find a way to combine multiple Defi primitives to create new products than reinventing the wheel (AAVE/COMP)

I think we will see a lot of new trading systems and automated dDefi hedging strategies appear as liquidity moves to L2

I’m not trying to create AAVE, that’s one. 2, I’m trying to build on top of existing defi protocols. 3, in 5 years, I guarantee that the top defi projects will look different than the ones currently which proves my point. Defi is tiny in regards to people that actually know what the heck it is. Actually the amount of people that understand what crypto is still tiny. The TAM for defi loans is in the trillions and multiple companies will take share of that. So saying, “yeah, you can’t do a project in this space because blah blah blah” makes 0 sense at all especially in tech lmao, new startups pop up everyday and raise money off of similar end goals everyday. Now if the criticism is execution, that would make more sense

There will be more AAVE/COMP competitors that will pop up over the years and they could very well overtake them. But that’s not what I’m aiming it, simple as that
