unfortunately you underestimate what it takes to be mint rated

also PSA is a scam and due to this hype bubble they basically have monopolized ratings so they will never give your cards the highest ratings. this creates artificial scarcity in the market. not to mention they take FOREVER now to even rate the s***

if you really were careful as a kid and used a plastic binder you probably have some rated 6-7s but i'd be surprised

and that's where the huge difference in pricing comes from. unless you threw that 1e card in a hard plastic the moment you pulled it, it probably still has minor wear and tear

I personally didnt plan for it so it might just be a happy coincidence, but the inflating & "goldrush" mindset plus a lot of recent fraud has made it difficult for legit stuff from regular everyday people.

Most of my stuff still here like the seemingly, hopefully, mint venu are just mementos as a child.
