got my new computer parts in, built, and powered on.
I could've sworn I bought the adapter cable with my ssd but apparently didn't so I should have the adapter saturday. Then the real plotting begins.
Just bought a NAS with 4 16TB drives for an old server so I'm able to plot a lot in parallel
going to spend the day building plotting rigs

wait you can farm chia with an NAS? I got one sitting on the side holding my data as a backup. Will I have to clear them in order to farm?
Just focus on trying to get a basic understanding on BTC and ETH, their white papers are available, google any terms e.g. proof of work that you don't understand. I'm just getting to grips with this stuff myself so don't feel bad about not understanding everything cos I defo don't. Also it isn't just about buying and selling popular coins/tokens as the technology behind these currencies is something that can disrupt our current financial systems but the tech can be used for more than just finance.
There's lots of sarcasm itt cos generally a bunch of users come in here hooting about Doge or some other bullshit or don't look at the first 5-10 pages of the thread.

Basically you're gonna have to read/watch s*** and do some learning on your own, then figure out when mans itt are being serious vs when they're s***posting

Nah don’t listen to him
Spend your life savings on doge and safe moon

you definitely could use a Nas but it fills your drives so make sure to keep 30% empty or your drives will be slow af for backups
Would an ideal time to buy ETH be when its under 2200?

As long as the machine you're farming on has access to the nas you should be fine
quality of the drive seems to matter a lot for chia
cheap NVMe drives get bottlenecked far easier than a more expensive one
bought 8 different drives testing them all
@Lil_Neon_Baebows on my new computer I got the chia application running, loaded my keys, and had it plotting overnight
and now it says I have 2 XCH in my total balance. In the wallet tab under history it shows 2 incoming transactions at 5:30 AM, one for .25, and one for 1.75. The hell?
But it shows a 0 balance on my old computer though.

yeah that's how the payout goes 1.75 and .25
congrats 👏
are you using upnp? it sounds like your nodes could be colliding Network traffic
mine hits 2GB/s in Chia but I get 6.5GB/s in benchmarking from RAID 0 NVMe drives

I just have a normal m2 nvme samsung 980 cause I dont have pci4 yet

Wow nice W bro how many plots u got?

that's still a pretty good drive, I'm using PCIe3 also but multiple drives lol
how many Plots in parallel are you doing? you should be able to saturate it if you start the plots 1 hour apart
I've been doing some testing and I've found that if you do too many in parallel per SSD it bottlenecks easy
I'd do this to one of your computers and reboot it
cd C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Chia-Blockchain\
. ./activate
chia configure -upnp false
you can port forward if you have trouble syncing after
it should work though fine, any other nodes you add need to have that off

I just got the NVMe yesterday so I tried 3 last night and now I got 4 going but I started two at the same time so I think its slower cause of that, gonna stagger em for phase 1

I only have 43 right now, wasn't expecting to win this soon. Kinda unsure if it's right
