I’ve been hearing people say dumb s*** like this since 18k, if they invested then instead of trying to outsmart the market they’d be rolling in money rn

donalddrumpfYa it isn't worth your time to have bonds honestly
They are meant as downside protection mostly that should outperform cash on a 5-10 year rolling period
But your downside protection is the fact that you are consistently contributing
If you were 35-40 and this was an individual account and you wanted to buy a house in the next 3-5 years, then its a different story
that makes sense and yeah they seem like they're not worth my time
the funny thing with bonds at the moment also is that there are plenty of projects that pay variable rates that are way higher on Stablecoins and there are even projects like Anchor on Terra paying out 20% APY flat
obviously the exploit risk is there verse bonds so it's not as safe but even places like Blockfi do 8.6%
if you wanna hold something stable for a few years to invest later or buy a house or something Stablecoins seems like the move if you can have a little more risk
