they are scams of course but the trick is to get in on them early and/or talk to the dev or team on telegram

he is investing in dead kucoin tokens from 2016-2018 so at least with BSC you get to figure out how scams work in this current cycle as well as metamask/defi/tokenomics etc at a deeper level which is what you need if you want to compete against people who do this for a living
