wild he bought 24tb of SSDs would be cool to have that much flash storage

was gonna make fun of him for buying 16tb of QLC drives but then I saw all the TLC drives also 😳

what Nuc you using? think I'm going grab a 5800x in the morning to build a faster plotting rig

I'm going to build 2 computers

one with a 5800x that will do the plotting and managing of the farming, that would be your Nuc get some fast TLC NVMe memory for the plotting, 332gb per plot you wanna make at a time

another that will have a old 3770k and refurbished motherboard I have laying around, it will just be a way to get power to the drives and pass it to the main computer

I'm going to use HBA PCIe cards to pass the drives through

I'm going to do 20 2tb drives in one and 20 8tb drives in another

getting 64gb of RAM for the plotting machine so I can make 10 plots at once

once you have the drives plotted you can just hook them into Raspberry Pis also via USB makes for easy expansion some day I'll be at 1 PiB
