yea basically, im assuming you know how when holding crypto on a cex they just keep something on your account that says you own x amount of btc and you can withdraw that much but they really just have a massive vault of btc, they deposit a portion of that on lending platforms and earn interest, then pay out customers a portion of what they have earned with the customers money

i imagine you can find better rates somewhere else unless you already have a lot sitting in gemini
