The amount of power used by these mining farms? With the amount of people buying up graphics cards?

It's not a net positive for the environment along with the companies buying into the s***

Individual wealth by all means is what we are trying to get here

it's funny though because twitter is so misinformed

yeah it's f***ed up Ethereum / Bitcoin uses a lot of power but there are a million other things that use a lot more power than NFTs.. leaving on inefficient devices, shipping mail via Air for next day delivery, the military etc etc and some NFT markets aren't even on ETH lol

these Twitter people act like if everyone stopped making NFTs they'd save the Ice Caps

the issue isnt being ignored by the crypto community, but it is being blown out of proportion by news sites and people who learned what an nft is this week

this also Ethereum devs have been working for years on Layer 2 solutions that will make everything 100x more efficient this year and the PoS coming out next year which will make it make the power usage 10000x better

people don't understand how new this tech is though and no one wants to rush something and lose everyone's money

all ambitious Blockchain projects have delays
