Yeah I feel like the biggest pain from how I understand it is having a different wallet for each L2 option.

So as I understand you have your MetaMask to interact with all L1. You need to get your coins from your MM L1 into your Loopring L2. So you’re paying gas to get into your LR L2 Wallet and then you’re stuck using L2 on LR only and managing that wallet.

Feel like the next progression is to have an overall L2 wallet but suppose that would not work thru all exchanges.

I feel that a lot of the big Defi apps are waiting for Uni & they will add whatever they end up using. The rumor is they'll use Optimistic rollups

Yeah once Exchanges add options to withdrawal is when it gets easier, next to ETH address I imagine there will be an option for Optimistic L2.. if there are 3 widely used ones it won't be so bad but yeah if we get a different L2 for each project it would cause a lot more issues but it could be the way it goes

You can get tokens in and out of Loopring but there's a Gas cost it's always lower than a swap on Uni but it still sucks

The cost for ETH is the lowest so you can just send ETH and trade, all the tokens are more usually

The thing is though once everyone switches to L2 those Gas prices will go way down but that's probably 5 months away at this point
