The real question is when will the crypto market split from the stock market?

It is incredibly difficult, if not impossible to find assets that don't correlate too much anymore with how connected the world is

Look up commodities in 08-09 and last march, dropped as well

Developed International stocks are pretty correlated.

Small cap international a bit less correlated, but still dropped hard in 08-09 and last march

Physical real estate is one option, but many people cant afford, don't have the time or have no knowledge of real estate

Bonds are another (but many dropped last march, usually not the case when stocks drop), but for someone who is young, there is no point in having bonds, unless your time frame is very short (say you need to buy a home).

Your downside protection is making more capital and investing basically
