MIGHT be a minor step back from the previous albums but still a very strong project. Falling out the Sky is basically dub, love that instrumental
Alchemist is a god. he might have back to back rap AOTY for me with this and Alfredo yet they are completely different
Lol people started hating, calling it pitchfork rap requires a lot of ignorance.
Guarantee this dude listens to Aesop Rock near daily

Imagine thinking like this

Word. But I thought TPOTIC was leagues better than Alfredo

That's a special project to me. Boldy's style didn't "click" for me until that album. M1CS was only kept for the beats for the longest, but I appreciate that project more now.
Revolvers to automatics, back to evolvers, nothing is static
Black B******s, negro human laugh in the casket
Doom really gone man

thanks, there a lot more coming I think. Lets keep looking ou for each other and post everything here
This s*** is different bruh really feels ahead of its time
These guys have been pushing the envelope for years. This is f***ing outstanding
Just finished my second listen. Many thoughts swirling.
For starters though, I think at least the opening of woods' verse on Stonefruit is actually referring to his mother as opposed to a scorned lover. Although I'm sure the meaning is layered intentionally.
Said "okay" to save face but she never forgave
Its only so many ways you can say Grace
In truth she rather cry at your grave
All black regalia
We back not speaking
Back behind bougainvillea you can't peek in
Marginalia, busy with symbols and equations
The story too simple to calculate it, payment post dated
The pavement gave way to a thicket of thorns
Where the body lay naked as the day I was born
I think Grace is referring to Grace Mugabe and the suspicion that his father was ordered to be killed and it made to look like a car accident. Something mentioned before in other tracks.
i.e: the story too simple to calculate it, payment post dated, pavement gave way.
And the 'we back not speaking... back behind bougainvillea you can't peek in' bit referring to the ostracising/hiding their family away in the aftermath.
@vanity whenever you around this is out now we gotta listen brother
