Mercy might be my favorite Elucid performance on an Armand Hammer album – it’s neck and neck with Paraffin and just below WBDTS

He’s just got so many all-time lines on here, one Holzer-esque truism after another

It’s such a well-balanced album too, in how it never feels like one member is taking more space than the other

I said this before but the projects after Shrines, I just can’t decipher what Elucid raps about. He makes Mach sound like Public Enemy. The one-liners are and sound nice, but I walk away from nearly every Elucid verse like what the f*** did this nigga just say?

That’s become more of a feature than a bug for me but I definitely feel that

It’s like audible pointillism; when I’m taking a verse in as a whole the images are clearly defined but if I try to hone in on a specific part it gets to a point sometimes where I’m not even sure I grasp this on a bare word-by-word basis anymore lmao
