Had a dream lil Uzi was on this last night - don’t stop smoking weed it’s not worth it
can’t wait for tonight let’s go
great album to listen on headphones alone ......
its out alr?
wait nvm im bugging
The feel of this record is like a scary movie that despite being terrifying, you have a comfortable/nostalgic connection to it. It’s bleak af but also oddly cathartic and comforting to listen to
Obviously the EL-P track was my most hyped and mannn I cannot keep running this back. Dude’s 35+ years in still making beats that sound like nothing I’ve heard before. Whatever he does next, be that RTJ5 or a solo gotta be nuts if this is any indication
Also Despot, COME BACK OUTSIDE

el-p beat is sick
you gotta get an interview with him
Interviewed him a few years ago but I do wanna run it back after this album drops
2nd listen hits even harder tbh especially the lyrics which are popping out to me more now
Niggas ask, "Is this as dark as it get?"
Put a finger to my lips, shook my head
Hallways was barely lit, air thick with dread
It's a room full of record exec on the other end and you dancing on the desk
Wake up in a cold sweat
In a barber chair Math Hoffa asking if anyone tried to make you wear a dress
Wake up in a cold sweat
Laid up next to your old-old-old-old-old-ex and never broke up
Duplex, west 86, three beautiful kids that get up and make they own beds
But the way shе popped that (oof) I knew I was going to wake up, I ain't еven trip
Cold sweat, my place is a mess
Landlord tryna empty the building so he can make it flip
I'm the only one left, they mad I'm stoppin' the grift
I'm glad, 'cause the shoe on the other foot and it fit
Every slave dream of the day he get ahold of the whip
S*** eatin' grin, I pay rent, they mad as s***
They tryna wake up, but it's the same n-word again and again with the same check
They tried threats
They offered me bread, begged me to talk sense
Like, "How you what this think to end?"
"End? Who said- Who said anything about-
Hold on, hold on, why would it end?
I love it here
I'm not trying to go anywhere man, y'all my people. For reals
Why would it end?
You're beyond crazy
It's not ending, man. There's no ending."
