Only had the one somewhat distracted listen.
Of the all new stuff, Ice Cups, OG Tupac Jackets and Busta in 97 are the initial standouts for me.
I recognise Colony from somewhere (or at least the instrumental) but can't remember where, it's annoying me.
I don't know if it's intentional, BLK LBL Vs WHT, but this one to me at least sounds a lot darker whereas that one was lighter/airier/poppier at times.
Yeah, I wonder if it was a conscious choice when they were deciding the loosies/High Bias tracks to be featured here or just the inevitable result of going for a more eclectic soundscape on WBDTS versus Haram (in the sense that the meanest Alchemist beat is still gonna sound pretty warm, and the other producers whose tracks ended up on Wht Lbl I would assume were aiming to approximate/match that feeling in their own way when Haram was being recc’d)
But goddamn this s*** is so f***ing good, I love it already
no misses as always. Drowning Machine, Ox Blood, Tupac Jackets, Fulgurite are gonna be on repeat
Maybe too early to say because Wht Lbl had some f***in earworms but I think this is the better compilation of the two
@GREEDISGOOD @Notmyfirst @whoever else needs, see above.
Appreciate letting us know its up. About to dive into it right now.
Colony is from ELUCID's Every Egg! Knew I recognised it from somewhere.
Also, it's a crime OG Tupac Jackets didnt make Known Unknowns.
Been ripped finally. On slsk, can send too, just let me know and follow.
@sentient_sherm_bag got you already.
hit me up brother

Yeah makes sense, probably just yeah a consequence of the sounds they were toying with.
Some outliers though:
I wonder when Ox Blood was recorded. Sounds to me like it fits neater into Maps around the Hangman, Baby Steps run moreso than Test Strips.
On Zaire, I know woods said they have some sort of project coming with Andrew Broder so wonder if this is going to appear on that too. I love his production typically but this was my least favourite of their collabs though unfortunately.
Fulgurite seems more Church era to me.
I think I'm definitely leaning towards WHT LBL over this one. Too many hits on that - Topsy, Flummox, Sardonyx, Sadderday, Venn Diagrams and so forth. This one is a bit more subdued to me.
On both LBLs though Messiah Musik has the unfortunate honour of having my least favourite beats - Fulgurite and Artichoke.
No need to be rude miss I’m happy to leave
I ain’t mean to get too lit; but I am who I be
not pitting them against each but Voir Dire sounds a lot less interesting to me after listening to Maps
Comments saying WBDTS deluxe coming per Australian Spotify
never woulda thought billy and elucid would do a deluxe like that lol
What’s up with them taking Junglepussy off the updated album?
Bruhhh how could they do that
