The gods must be crazy goes absolutely bonkers
Would have loved an El verse on there but s*** still crazy

a normal voice peggy verse and an el-p verse would be great
A whirlpool in Brooklyn is truly the s*** ELUCID raps about, how appropriate for release day

I’m not gonna hold out hope for any live instrumentation on the tour but I do hope they perform the album in full 🤞
Ya’ll Can’t Stand Right Here might be the early favorite track, the run from Track 3-10 is f***ing nuts

Nah I like all of the beats a lot, all the JPEG tracks were great. I just find that my most replayed songs so far are from that lengthy middle chunk
Can’t wait to bump this after work man from what yall saying sounds like another underground classic from AH
this thread needs to be PINNED tho
The home on the cover + naming the album after some s*** you see stapled on telephone poles makes a ton of sense, just as cohesive as Shrines and Haram were with their titles/art direction
This is truly peak dad rap
No outwardly-sourced dialogue samples on this one right, or did I miss some? All the phone snippets sounded personal. As opposed to like, a phone recording of an apartheid documentary or Julius Eastman making a speech
the sample at the end of Mirror In My Pocket was the only one I caught that was external
maybe they recorded that tho
Cant really get into these guys unless it's on an Alchemist beat. The production on Haram complimented them perfectly
Gonna take 30 days for me to comprehend everything
The beauty of any woods/AH release (backwoodz releases in general) it’s so much more rewarding the more you unpack everything going on

I'm still unpacking ELUCID verses from Rome. He's such a cryptic lyricist, very frustrating to listen to lol
So am I tripping or was a member of Soul Glo supposed to contribute to this?
He’s the one with a short verse on Yall Cant Stand Right Here with a line about bathed in the blood, last breath, said ‘bruv’ - I assume he’s doing the screaming vocals on that part also
But I still want a split EP from the two groups

Oh s*** nice, I will catch that on my 3rd playthrough. Thnx
All the artists with feature verses killed it, especially Junglepussy - would love to see her work within the orbit of Backwoodz more
They really have a “Dungeon Family of the northeast” thing going on, its tremendous
