I am not one to usually notice s***ty editing, weird cuts, but some of the cuts this episode were bizarre. they had panned to baby leia for one scene for just no apparent reason, followed by cut to black and change of scene. really bizarre.Super sloppy. Almost sardonically sloppy.

If anyone has a critique of the writing or the acting or whatever it may be, they can pull out the “we resist” card. The biggest media monopoly in the world isn’t some reaction to power, they have nothing to resist. They are the empire and as everyone has pointed out they’ll conveniently cut a black man out of marketing in China — They don’t really have a leg to stand on with this rhetoric. This is manipulative nonsense and I wouldn’t even be surprised if it turned out those Instagram posts were from bots. These corporations rely on culture war discourse at this point, it’s a built in form of PR that they promote.
None of you actually engaged with this. You’re rather ignore how horrible the corporation itself is and their practices is because it’s much easier to just say there’s a bunch of evil racists around every corner rather than confront the people pushing the products you like consuming. it feels cheap and mid to me so far
The scale is great imo, Alderaan looked fantastic and the planet Obi went to find Leia looked interesting (can't remember the name)
There's fun elements that reminds me of the prequels too, that chase scene in the woods was obviously way too over the top though. The Leia kid actress is doing a great job
Second episode hooked me in but I think the next 4 will really be hitters

Both things can be true you know.
I do think Disney's nr 1 priority is profit (they did boyega dirty).
