Tbh I did walk away from that movie liking it alot and being surprised at the strong negative reactions.
I think star wars fans just hate everything.
It definitely isn't all perfect but it never has been.
Except Mando. That one is
Star Wars fans are very much the worst lol
feel like a lot of the nerds gon hold resentment so even if his trilogy is goat material they’ll knock it anyway
hopefully that won’t be the case but wouldn’t be surprised if it was
You probably right
Can say without a doubt this series and the finale episode in particular is by far the best thing Disney have done with Star Wars since they acquired Lucas films. Bravo 👏🏽
Honestly at this point anyone who hates on TLJ is clearly just brain dead
its honestly not TLJ thats the problem, its just that the main star wars story should have ended with vader being redeemed and killing the emperor.
To this day the fact that the emperor just magically survives ruins all of star wars. But i also get that this is a totally different gripe and is jj abrams fault not RJs haha

Honestly I’ll just stick with Lucas’s 6 film arc, the Filoni headed cartoons, and the first season of Mandalorian. Everything else doesn’t work for me at all.

I can see the argument you are putting forward about the Skywalker saga being focused primarily on Vader and his redemption and to some degree i get that but SW most important character is also Luke Skywalker
THE PRIMARY PROTAGONIST from the start, i would argue he is just as important as Vader.
Finishing off the Skywalker Saga with Luke’s redemption and Kylo Ren (inspired by Vader) braking off the shackles from his master to become the supreme leader (as Vader never did until Luke saved him)
Is still very much a Skywalker story

i can get behind this, its a shame they just pulled some weird ass palpatine somehow survived bullshit that ruined everything RJ built
TLJ had some flaws but ultimately i've always respected that RJ tried to take the trilogy in a new direction, its a shame they botched the ending to the saga so hard because the sequels could have been really good

TROS is like the worst film SW will ever have in it’s history.
I feel ya on this, it’s such a travesty that they wasted so much potential
tapped in now. fight scene so fire absolutely amazing. wish it was just this for the whole 50 minutes. this reva story line couldn’t be any less compelling
nah this fight scenes been absolutely goated OBI went bananas. maybe just maybe makes this whole show redeemable

just barely tbh. Kinda just wish they gave us a short film of Vader and Kenobi’s rematch
But i also needed that first duel in this series to show the contrast
Doesn't this lowkey retcon Luke & Obi Wan's first encounter ?
Luke on Episode IV looks like a boy that has never been through anything and doesn't know s*** about the force, lightsabers etc... And he doesn't remember ever meeting Ben at all

yeah this bugs the f*** out of me rn. They could have easily avoided this too

Yeah, they could have easily done without the Reva wanting to kill Luke subplot

why didn’t Vader just murk her then and there?
would have spared us this canon issue
assuming there’s a season two on this?
I think it's supposed to be just this, the ending ties up to the beginning of episode IV

would have preferred this story to have been in just a movie, maybe even trilogy. but it’s whatever. trilogy maybe overdoing it but i think they could tell a plenty compelling story on the big screen

Just a single movie for sure.
a trilogy over doing it but yeah i agree it would have been better in a movie format
