I saw a lot of hype after the trailer dropped. I just watched it, and that was it? I mean it's fine but it's a pretty average teaser. People would have freaked out no matter what.

Hayden Christensen sucks, idk why they're bringing him back. I mean it should have been an unannounced cameo. How is vader going to take off his helmet anyway? I guess that's part of the intrigue.

it will be weird if they go back and forth from hayden's voice to james earl jones' voice. like damn his mask really changes his voice from whiny white boy to deep voiced black man? there's no logic to it.

why would they not bring him back? Hes literally Anakin. And Vader will probably take off his helmet when hes in the bacta tank. He won't be able to talk without the helmet, the helmet is what allows him to talk. We can probably hear Hayden's actual voice in probably a flashback scene

they wouldn't bring him back because anakin is no longer a character who exists in the story at this point in time. you could bring him back for a flashback, sure, but do we really need flashbacks of anakin? i'm not sure how anakin flashbacks would fit into the plot, and the actor is now 20 years older so they would need to do that CGI s***. and if they're only bringing him back to sit in the rejuvenation tank then is that really necessary?

i mean look I'll probably watch this and I'll be interested to see if they have a valid reason to bring him back, but as others have pointed out I was under the impression that obi wan and darth never met up again until episode 4. i was not a fan of hayden in the prequels so that is effecting my opinion of this, but it seems like a publicity grab to have him return. doesnt make sense plot wise.

all that said, I hope they make it really cool and it's worth while and maybe it even redeems the prequel performances somewhat.

Perhaps because Obi wan wins the duel once again in an attempt to replicate what is referenced by Vader as “obi wan once thought as you do” to try to turn him which ends up failing since Obi wan has never showed to try to turn Anakin back from the dark yet
