What's your fav project/"voice" of his?

Went back to a song off XAONABO the other day and it sounded like a completely different artist, haha

XAONABO and APOXALYPSO are probably still my faves. I also remember liking WAVONOMIXX and BIMINI ROAD but I haven’t come back to them in a while. As far as the raspy voice I like this new one the most.

I will say when obis in his zone he picks some of the nicest beats I’ve heard like onion stew.

He’s also incredible at mixing and mastering, I’d love to hear him exec prod an album for someone

Been going over how I feel abt obis projects and this is a short summary:

His peak: Wavonomix, Xaonabo, Guanahini

Guanahani was his first project beyond 14 tracks and it was very ambitious, specifically I think the 2nd half is really something special.

Xaonabo is like a more polished/experienced version of guanahani, with more consistent production from Dylan and a more uptempo vibe throughout.

Wavonomix is his most complete and standalone album. With the tracks being being longer and with fleshed out production along with Obijuan being very focused on his lyricism, creating a much more fulfilling project than pretty much anything else he’s made

I like the monk album more than the other one, both are very good but there’s some weaker production on the solo one

New Languid Oceans is nice, Looms is nuts on some the tracks with the almost screamo-grime style
