Tbf Mamdani winning is a lock. Don’t care for NYC politics but I’d love to see him do well. I would hate for him to become a showman mayor who has constant back-and-forths with the president on social media and in interviews.

well, part of his core campaign has been “trump proofing” NYC, so, i’d argue it invariably is part of his campaign. it just isn’t in a more simple form of “trump is bad, i am not trump”. speaks way more to the direct policies trump is putting into action that have direct negative impacts on the city
