Ehhh that era was mostly still regular Charli fans i think. The drama over the singles was literally all Twitter losers crying that it wasn't weird enough. None of the singles even cracked the US Top 100 chart.

I went to one of the Crash tour shows too. Not a big venue. Packed room of sweaty people screaming every word of the Pop 2, HIFM, and promo songs, along with all the Crash songs.

Brat was the actual crossover era.

And there are several songs on Crash that I would definitely not call boring or generic. Compared to her prior stuff, yeah they have less edge, but that album has some really great gems. Title track is amazing too.
