Instead of love, he fed her torture until her now present husband came into her life.
nosferatu was still drawn to ellen and it was as if fate allowed the husband to be the Glue ( real estate agent ) that can get him closer to her.
at the end she called him over because she knew that would let his guard down.

IcyNeckHarry Styles could’ve done Hoults role easily and perhaps better. Eggers gave him nothing to work with. Just acted like he’s about to pee his pants the entire movie. At least Styles would’ve provided a more captivating presence than pest-face Hoult.
